Ms. Margo Martin, High School Principal, CIO and Director of Technology for the Tioga Central School District was chosen for the role. Ms. Martin's formal appointment as Superintendent of Schools took place that evening Monday, May 11th.

Dr. Jeffrey Matteson, District Superintendent and CEO of Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES said "I am pleased that the Groton Board of Education has made a decision on its leadership direction. If the stakeholder participation and interest in the process are any indication, the Groton community is coming together nicely in the best interest of students. I wish the Board of Education and the new superintendent all the best and pledge TST BOCES' continued support as they seek to build a productive working relationship."

It is anticipated that Ms. Martin will assume her new role on July 1, 2015. During the transition period Interim Superintendent JD Pabis will continue to support the district and will aid Ms. Martin in becoming acclimated to the schools, staff and community.
