lindsay hartLindsay Hart, associate real estate broker with RE/MAX In Motion, has been named 2017 REALTOR of the year by the Ithaca Board of REALTORS.

The purpose of the award is to honor a member of the Ithaca Board of REALTORS who has displayed the highest commitment to professionalism and has exemplified what it means to be a Realtor.

Hart has been a continual force in identifying ways to increase internal communications with membership and to foster community outreach. On behalf of the Association, she has prepared many marketing materials, reports, and Facebook posts that promote and inform the value of using a REALTOR. Over the past 8 years, Lindsay's volunteerism as resulted in attending over over 200 board, committee, and task force meetings locally, and this does not account for travel to business meetings outside of the area.

Hart is a 2002 graduate of Ithaca College's Park School of Communications and actively supports and is involved with the Trumansburg Area Chamber of Commerce as a board member and is the 2018 Vice President. She is a member of the Ithaca Downtown Business Women. She was involved with and sat on a panel of experts for the Tompkins County housing summit.

Hart supports Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties, Cancer Resource Center of the Fingerlakes, Food Bank of the Southern Tier, NY State Association of REALTORS Housing Foundation and Education Foundation. She serves on numerous state and local association committees, was the 2011-2013 local director, 2014 Secretary/Treasure, 2105 President Elect, 2016 President and the 2017 Past-President of the Ithaca Board of REALTORS. She has served as the New York State Association of REALTORS (NYSAR) Southern Tier RPAC Trustee. In addition to growing her career and expanding her real estate team (Hart and Homes Real Estate Team at RE/MAX In Motion), Hart homeschools her two children, ages 6 and 8 and participates in a local homeschool group.
