The Burns Sisters, Annie and Marie, return to the Hangar Theatre for their annual 'Home for the Holidays Concert'. This two-night engagement will also feature Stephanie Lucena and Friends as the opening act.

In the spirit of the holiday season, the Burns Sisters and the Hangar Theatre have partnered to shine a light on homelessness. Patrons attending the show will have an opportunity to make a donation to the Ithaca Rescue Mission as well as view photos as part of Amelia Burns photography exhibition 'The Homeless Photo booth' featuring photos of the homeless across the United States. The Burns Sisters will be at the Hangar Theatre December 16 & 17 at 8pm.

Ithaca natives, Annie and Marie Burns have traveled across the world performing various folk tunes and original songs. This sister act is known for their harmonies, great lyrics, and joyous energy. Their latest album, Looking Back, Our American Irish Souls was released in 2015 has been described as having "Seamless melodies and amazing vocals" (ROOSTIME Music Magazine). The Burns Sisters will be accompanied by Bobby Sweet on the electric guitar, Josh Pincus on the acoustic guitar and Doug Robinson on the bass. The ensemble will be performing holiday songs from around the world as well as Burns Sisters original works.

Joining the Burns Sisters on the Hangar stage will be Stephanie Lucena and Friends. Stephanie is a renowned performer, known as a mighty Gospel singer and choir director from Ithaca NY. Born Stephanie Bibbie, now Lucena, the Bibbie family and the Burns family are music traditions in themselves. This collaboration and celebration of music is not to be missed.

In the spirit of the holidays, the Burns Sisters and the Hangar Theatre have partnered to shine a light on homelessness. Ithaca Rescue Mission will be accepting donations of toiletries, warm clothing and canned foods at the concert. Patrons who bring a donation will be entered in a drawing for fabulous Hangar prizes. In the past the Hangar has partnered with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and has been able to raise over $900 in support and over 100 pounds of food.

Photographer Amelia Burns will be releasing her new photo book, 'Everything Belongs' on December 16 at the concert. This book is a compilation of photos taken of the homeless across the United States as part of her Kickstarter campaign - "The Homeless Photo Booth". Amelia is an LA based freelance photographer who got her start as a photographer at the Ithaca Times. She is a graduate of the Pratt Institute and has been published in INK Magazine, Bust Magazine, and has created several photo exhibits of her own.
