Congressman Tom Reed met Monday with members of the Cornell University community to discuss important climate topics and agricultural solutions.

"I care about fostering a beneficial, bipartisan conversation on the climate issues we face and how these issues impact our agricultural communities. We will work to find a sensible path forward regarding clean energy sources," Reed stated.

Reed met with professors and researchers to discuss how they are developing agriculture techniques to improve farmers' yields while also dealing with climate change.

Reed is a member of the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus, which seeks to find constructive solutions to climate change issues.

The conversation involved discussing economically viable options to reduce climate risk and to explore bipartisan policy options that address the impacts, causes, and challenges of our changing climate. Also discussed was Reed's commitment to preserving the Great Lakes.
