softball120Lansing won 7 games last week, pushing their overall record to 8-1 on the season. On Saturday Lansing won the Muddville softball tournament.

In the first game Lansing beat Indian River, Class A school, 9-1 in Five innings. Mattie Arcangeli had three strikeouts in Five innings of work.

Offensively, Lansing was paced by two freshmen, Kassie Riemer 2-3 with a home run 2rbi and Jordan Stauffeneker 1-2 with a triple and 2 RBI.

Helen Moore, sisters, Kennedy and Taylor Todi and  Amanda Green also had big hits for Lansing.

In the second game, Lansing Defeated Copenhagen 8-1. Lansing's bats came alive tallying 15 hits, including multiple hits from Kassie Riemer, Helen Moore, Taylor Todi and Amanda Green. Riemer finished 3-4, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored. Moore finished 3-4 with 3 RBI and 1 run scored.

For the tournament, Lansing's Mattie Arcangeli was named MVP. 12 innings pitched, 12 k's and 1bb
Lansing plays three times this week, starting on Monday against Dryden.
