The boys team traveled to the Marathon Invitational last Thursday, led by Alex Powers and Devin McCartney who earned provisional qualifying marks in the shot put and 1600M run, respectively.  Powers continued to lead the bobcats throwing crew when they arrived at Groton on Monday with Tyler Ayers (shot put) and Nate Fleishman (discus) also scoring.  Moravia's Josh Campanella and Zack Chehovich took the overall wins in shot put and discus, respectively.  Lansing boys swept the triple jump and pole vault events.

On the track, Moravia's Hunter Loomis (100M, 200M) and Groton's Richard Moore (800M, 1600M) each secured two individual wins. Lansing took the team win, nabbing the win in the 3200M relay and 400M hurdles and the runner-up position in every other running event.

At last week's Marathon Invitational, the girls posted eleven provisional and two automatic qualifying performances.  The girls took overall top marks in the 1500M run (Catie Eisenhut), 200M dash (Michelle Shafer), triple jump (Mikaela Garcia), high jump (Destiny Little), and pole vault (Emily Gallagher & Miya Kuramoto) and many other teammates posted season bests.

After a weekend of rest, the girls team was back to work at Groton on Monday.  Jumping events continue to be a strength for the Ladycats with wins in the long jump (Gwen Gisler), triple jump (Garcia), high jump (Destiny Little), and pole vault (Gallagher) while Moravia's Dakota Genson took wins in both throwing events.  Also securing wins on the track for Lansing were Dhimitri (100M hurdles), Kuramoto (100M), Eisenhut (3000M) as well as the 400M and 1600M relays.
