The 9th Annual Benefit My State Concert will feature ALMOST QUEEN: The Ultimate Queen Experience on Saturday, April 27th at 8pm.

Almost Queen is THE most authentic QUEEN live show since the days of QUEEN themselves. A deliberate four piece band, Almost Queen delivers a live performance showcasing signature four part harmonies and intricate musical interludes. Donning genuine costumes, Almost Queen recaptures the live energy and precision that is the ultimate Queen experience.

Proceeds from 'Benefit My State' help support the annual operations of the 1600 seat theatre, currently celebrating its 90th year in existence.

Executive Director Doug Levine states, "Like most non-profit theatres, ticket sales only cover a portion of our expenses. Additional fundraising pays for maintenance and preservation of this historic building in an accurate and appropriate way. It pays for the theatre to present arts and cultural programs to residents of Tompkins County and beyond."

The State Theatre is an icon of downtown Ithaca's arts and entertainment community, and the nonprofit arts in general are an important part of the fabric of this community. 'Benefit My State' offers a fun way for the community to add extra support to downtown Ithaca's last remaining historic performing arts venue.
