INDICATE:  We at the Institute for the Linguistically Impaired often wonder why so few say, state, assert, or claim anything anymore. 

One evening, over a flagon or two in the Fowler Lounge, nurse Clara Dix even ventured that indicate might indicate a growing national spinelessness.  A wussword, she called it, like using passive verbs.

Board Member Emeritus Alfred Kahn happened to be visiting, after a long delay.  (He had had passport problems at the airport, Ithaca NY and Underbelly TX being so foreign to each other.)

Over his schooner of sarsaparilla, he said,

INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION:  As staff psychologist at the Institute for the Linguistically Impaired, I spend much of my time counseling doctors and nurses for anxiety, depression, and suppressed anger.  Listening to their patients say advance reservations, prerequisite, and safe haven creates extreme stress in them.

Staff members have complained a lot about intelligence information lately.  After all, the government likes to hire the handicapped, so lots of our patients come from federal and state departments, and they often present with severe linguistic impairment.
