August 17, 2007 (ITHACA, NY) - After weeks of training with theatre professionals, students from the Theatre School and Theatre Lab programs at the Hangar Theatre's Next Generation School of Theatre will take to the stage in two separate productions. From Thursday, August 23rd through Saturday, August 25th, members of the Theatre School program will hit the KIDDSTUFF stage with a magical interpretation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
Since July 16th, the cast-which consists of kids who have completed grades 6 through 8-has had the opportunity to take elective theatre courses with professional artists, attend Hangar Mainstage and KIDDSTUFF productions, and prepare and rehearse for this production. Featuring direction by former Lab Company director Peter James Cook, Alice in Wonderland will be performed twice each day-at 10 am and again at Noon.
