cmcThe Cayuga Medical Center Foundation is proud to announce that this year’s annual gala,  An Evening to Care, had the largest support from our community ever – with the highest attendance ever – 415 people.

The gala raised a net of $110,800 to support Cayuga Medical Center Foundation’s 2014 fundraising initiative – Renovation of Surgical Services Department Project. Of the $110,800, $28,000 was raised by an auction with auctioneer David Hall of National Book Auctions and Laurie Linn of Communique’ Design and Marketing presiding over the live auction.  All of the auction items were generously donated by local businesses and members of our community.

John Rudd, President and CEO of Cayuga Medical Center said “The Annual CMC Foundation Gala helps us fund specific projects at CMC.  The proceeds from Gala 2014 will be used for the major renovation of our surgical services department.  We have opened six new operating rooms to date and anticipate completing this project in the spring of 2015. When completed we will have eight new operating rooms, all of which will provide state of the art facilities to accommodate our surgical program well into the future.  Additionally, the overall redesign of our surgical space will include an expanded post-surgical unit, enhanced technological capabilities and improved operational efficiencies.
