pch johnson120Mark Johnson of Dolgeville, NY was paid a surprise visit Thursday by the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol who named him the winner of  a whopping $1,000,000.00!

Johnson,56, was stunned at the Prize Patrol's arrival -- with a giant prize certificate and bouquets of roses and balloons.  The unannounced, videotaped surprise notification of the winner is a Publishers Clearing House tradition.

Johnson, a father of 2 and a grandfather of 5, was in a state of shock when the Prize Patrol came to his door with $1,000,000! Mark, a self-proclaimed hard worker says it's great to finally have financial security. He plans to use the money to fix up his home, pay off some car bills, and help his grandchildren. Marks wife Cindy says she's excited to finally buy an iPhone!

Johnson is the 78th Publishers Clearing House winner of one million dollars or more, joining a roster of other SuperPrize winners including Rosemary Cella of New York, Karl Jonsson of Wisconsin, Brian Willis of South Carolina and Philip Daltas of Florida.  This SuperPrize brings the total awarded in the company's sweepstakes to well over $256 million -- in major prizes alone.

"No matter how many winners we surprise or how much money we give away, it's a thrill for us every single time," said Dave Sayer – who heads the Prize Patrol and who has presented virtually every major Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes prize since 1981.

For those who didn't have Mr. Johnson's luck this time around, there are always more opportunities to win.  The company awards prizes worth millions of dollars annually.
