WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Tops Friendly Markets, the leading full-service grocery retailer in Western New York, Central New York, including Rochester, and Northwestern Pennsylvania, announced Wednesday that its newest fuel station in Lansing, N.Y. is open for business. The addition of this fuel station is part of Tops’ ongoing $150 million capital investment plan. The long awaited station that will operate in the parking lot of the existing Tops at 2300 N. Triphammer Rd. is among Tops' 31 on-site fueling facilities, including three in the mid-state area. The new facility is a testament to Tops’ ongoing and strong commitment to the Lansing and Ithaca communities.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer our customers the added convenience of having a fueling station at our Lansing Tops location,” said Frank Curci, Tops’ president and CEO. “Not only will shoppers receive exceptional in-store value, they’re offered additional savings by filling up at the pump right at the store.”
All customers who visit the Lansing Tops Markets will now be able to redeem their fuel rewards at the Lansing fueling site through Tops Markets’ Gas Bonus Points program. Shoppers can use their BonusCard when they shop at their neighborhood Tops Friendly Markets and they’ll earn points on qualifying grocery and pharmacy purchases. Customers earn one Gas Bonus Point for every dollar they spend and can track their points at the bottom of their receipt. To redeem, customers just scan their BonusCard at a Tops gas pump.
The fueling facility will consist of three double-sided, self-service fuel pumps, offering three grades of high-quality gasoline: regular, mid-grade and premium. Customers will have their choice of paying at the pump using a major credit card, or at the kiosk located by the fuel pumps. Tops also offers beverages, snacks and lottery tickets at the kiosk as an added convenience for customers.
Tops Markets in Lansing is open 24 hours, and the fueling facility will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. every day of the week.
