star_120Capping a two-year fundraising effort, the Ithaca Health Alliance and Free Clinic are moving to expanded offices in October following a one-week closure.

"As usual, the community has stepped forward to ensure that Free Clinic visitors won't have to go without care any longer than absolutely necessary," said IHA Executive Director Bethany Schroeder.  The Free Clinic left its location of five years at 225 South Fulton Street September 23 and will be reopening in much larger and more accessible quarters at 521 West Seneca Street on October 4.

Individual donors and local foundations are credited with funding the remodeling of the new offices, which were formerly occupied by Family and Children's Services of Tompkins County and later by offices of the Greater Ithaca Activities Center during its own recent remodeling.

Ciappa & Marinelli Builders performed the work of renovating the new Clinic, with architectural redesign contributed by Claudia Brenner and space and color consultation contributed by Bloom Designs. The Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency also provided support for the project.
