LettersLettersAs your Representative-elect from District 6 to the County Legislature I want to thank each of you who came out to vote for me on November 3rd.  The closeness of the vote showed once again how important it is to exercise the privilege and responsibility of voting.  Whether you voted for me or for my opponent, I'm glad you voted.  Thanks also to everyone who attended the debate that was sponsored jointly by the Lansing Democrats and Republicans.

Running a grass-root, door-to-door campaign was a very positive experience.  I was able to reconnect with people that I knew from my earliest days of teaching here in Lansing as well as to meet many more Lansing residents from across District 6.  My commitment to regular two-way communication will continue even though the campaign has ended.  You can find information about County issues and you can contact me at any time through my Web site .  I also plan to host periodic events at which I can report to you on County issues and listen to your ideas and concerns.  Watch here in the Lansing Star and on my Web Site after the first of the year for announcements of those events.

If you would like me to attend a meeting of your group, be it an informal neighborhood get-together or a meeting of your organization; please feel free to get in touch.  I'm sure that we can find a mutually convenient time for me to do so.

The Town of Lansing has a notable history, beautiful natural attributes and fine residents whose contributions both past and present make it a very desirable place to live.  There is every reason for optimism that through our joint efforts the Town of Lansing can continue to thrive.  It is an honor for me to be elected as your representative to the County Legislature and I look forward to working with you to maximize the future for all residents of the Town.  Thank you for the opportunity to do so.
