mailmanLast Friday's beautiful weather enabled me to take my dogs to the Lansing Park for a walk.

I was disturbed to see so much dog feces along the park roads, apparently left there by other owners walking their dogs.

I have always given my dog training classes instruction on picking up after their dogs as a common courtesy. Some localities have laws with fines for failure to do so. Why should other park users have to step around / over dog feces when enjoying the park?

I encourage everyone to pick up and/or ask others to pick up after their animals. If there are enough complaints about this, park officials may not allow any dogs at some point.

Thanks to all those good dog owners who do pick up after their dogs!
