The Lansing Girls Swimming and Diving Team streaked ahead with two more wins in an undefeated season this week.  On Monday Lansing beat Dryden 117 to 71, and on Wednesday they nearly doubled Odessa's score in a 103 to 64 meet.  "Lansing had an excellent team effort," said coach Diane Hicks-Hughes after Monday's match.  "55% personal best times."

The Monday meet started slowly for Lansing when Dryden took first place in the first event.  Claire Eckstrom, Leigh Conley, Maeve Campbell and Rachel Bland took second place in Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay and Lexi Payton, Sarah Tull, Kelsy Quigley and Ashley McDonald came in third.  But in the Girls 200 Yard Freestyle Hannah Wingate sped to the finish in 2:08:39, placing first.  Lansing girls took second (Erin Obrien) and fourth (Kendal Dean) places, also scoring in the event.

Nikki Dean raced to first place in the Girls 200 Yard IM when she finished in 2:18.84. Leigh Conley and Maeve Campbell also scored, coming in third and fourth.  Kali Dean earned the top score when she completed the 50 Yard Freestyle in 25.10.  Rachel Bland and Ashley McDonald also scored for Lansing.

In the 1 mtr Diving event Lansing's Kristin Carlson took the best score at 156.10, with Danyelle Barron scoring in fifth place.  Claire Eckstrom took first in 1:07:68, finishing the 100 Yard Butterfly first.  Kelsy Quigley took third and Maeve Campbell fourth in the event.  Kali Dean scored another first in the 100 Yard Freestyle, with Rachel Bland also scoring for Lansing.  Hannah Wingate took first in the eigth event when she completed the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:50.11.  Erin Obrien scored in second place, and Kendal Dean scored in fifth.

Kali Dean, Rachel Bland, Hannah Wingate and Nikki Dean took the top spot, finishing the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay in 1:47.60, with Katrina Mehringer, Anna Mapes, Kelsy Quigley and Erin Obrien scoring in third place.  Three Lansing swimmers scored in the 100 Yard Backstroke when Claire Eckstrom took first in 1:09.99, followed by Lexi Payton in second place and Chelsie Radcliffe in fifth.  

Dryden scored first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, but Lansing won the event with 9 points to Dryden's 7.  Nikki Dean, Leigh Conley, and Sarah Tull all scored second, third and fourth.  In the final event Hannah Wingate, Kali Dean, Claire Eckstrom and Nikki Dean won first place, finishing the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay in  4:05.81.  Also scoring for Lansing were Kendal Dean, Ashley McDonald, Kayla Arrison and Erin Obrien.

Lansing continued it winning streak against Odessa, starting with the first event.  Kendal Dean, Kali Dean, Nikki Dean and Hannah Wingate sped to first place in the  200 Yard Medley Relay, with Katrina Mehringer, Erin Obrien, Ashley McDonald and Leigh Conley winning second place.  Rachel Bland took another first for Lansing, completing the 200 Yard Freestyle in 2:24.32, followed by Sarah Tull and Anna Mapes.  

In the 200 Yard IM Claire Eckstrom finished first in 2:33.13, with Chelsie Radcliffe and Ashley McDonald also scoring.  Hannah Wingate dominated the 50 Yard Freestyle with a first place win in 27.93, with Kelsy Quigley and Kayla Arrison scoring.  In the Girls 100 Yard Butterfly Kali Dean took first, finishing in 1:11.14, with Lexi Payton scoring in third and Julia Clark in fifth.

In the 100 Yard Freestyle Nikki Dean finished first in 1:00.59, with Sarah Tull and Anna Mapes scoring in third and fourth place.  Kelsy Quigley completed the Kelsy Quigley in first place in 6:26.31, with Leigh Conley and Kayla Arrison also scoring.  Lansing teams scored the top two spots in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay when Claire Eckstrom, Hannah Wingate, Rachel Bland and Erin Obrien placed first in 1:55.16  and Lexi Payton, Chelsie Radcliffe, Kate Adie and Sarah Tull took second place in 2:05.90.

Odessa tied the Girls 100 Yard Backstroke taking first place, with Lansing's Kendal Dean, Ashley McDonald and Katrina Mehringer scoring for Lansing.  Erin Obrien sped to first in 1:22.96, winning first place the 100 Yard Breaststroke, while Odessa won on points, 9-6 for the event.  Odessa took all the points in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, the final event of the meet.
