ImageLansing's Varsity Football team scored a massive win in the first game of the season last Friday, beating Newark Valley 35 to nothing.  Senior Brian Milliman scored three touchdowns, 2 on the ground, with a one-yard run and a five-yard run.

Vincent Redmond the quarterback threw for one score of 51 yards to Milliman.  "Our defense played well," says coach Ed Redmond.  "Our defensive front T.J. French, Charlie Hatfield, and John Bradford all played real well defensively up front.  And I thought our linebackers played well Colden Mack and David Bandler."

"David Bandler also played well as a linebacker," Redmond continues.  "I thought that Milliman and Teagan Barresi played well, and Carl Sweazy, Matthew Ford, and Vincent Redmond.  So I think whenever you can get a win on opening day and a shutout, I think things went very well for us."

Redmond says 22 players make up this years roster, 12 of them seniors.  Last Friday's game was on the home field.  The team Plays at Watkins Glen Saturday at 7:00 pm.
