ImageThe boys basketball team complete their league play by winning the IAC overall championship.  Lansing completed the regular season with a 10-0 division record and entered the semi-final with a 17-1 record. Lansing Played TAE in the semi-final on Thursday night and beat the Spartans 55-47.

Lansing was led by Teagen Barresi who had 25 points and Charlie Hatfield who had 11 points.   The key was the rebounding and defense and Lansing held Edison's top scorer to 8 points.

In the Championship game at Cortland State the boys defeated Unon Springs 53-42.  This was the 3rd time this season the bays defeated the Wolves.  Union Springs is now 17-3 and Lansing 19-1.  Lansing was led by Teagen Barrsi with 23 points and Justin Payne with 11.

Once again another player stepped up off the bench and played well.  Justin was huge for us in the 1st half as he scored 9 of his 11 points. Lansing's defense was solid as well, but the story was the free-throw line as Lansing went 11-12.  That was the difference.  We made our Free-Throws.

This was the first outright IAC championship in school history and first IAC title in 10 years.  Lansing will now play Unatego in the sectional QTs Friday, February 22nd at home at 7:00.
