Aurora, New York –The Wells College Field Hockey Team (3-1) saw too many opportunities slip away Wednesday, including a victory, as Keystone College handed the Express their first loss of the season 2-1 in overtime today at Wells. Liz Barclay (Cherry Hill, NJ) had the lone goal for Wells while goalie Beth Cereo (Port Biron, NY) finished with 12 saves.

After playing to a scoreless tie in the first half, Keystone got the scoring started with a goal by Brackney Brotsman (Brackney, PA) to give Keystone a 1-0 lead. The lead would be short lived as Barclay would push across a pass from Paige Corneby (Barton, NY) to tie the game at one. The game would head to overtime where Kellina Yerrish (Honesdale, PA) would score on a corner from Kellie Sussman (Springville, PA) with less than four-minutes left in the first overtime to give Keystone the 2-1 Victory.

The loss was the first for the Express who now stand at 3-1 on the season.

The Field Hockey team will next play at home against Philadelphia Biblical on Saturday September 13, at 2:00 pm.
