This was a big week for Lansing's varsity Girls Swim Team.  The team won three meets, taking the top score against Odessa on the 18th, the Jack Thomas Invitational Friday and Saturday, plus a Tuesday meet against Dryden. 

Lansing scored highest in Class C in the Jack Thomas Invitational with 335 points.  Dryden came in second at 223.  "Kali Dean from Lansing was selected the most outstanding swimmer of the meet," says coach Diane Hicks-Hughes.  "She won the 50 free, 100 free with a new invitational record, a member of the 400 Free Relay that took 1st place and placed 5th in the Medley Relay.  Kali also set NYSPHSAA qualifying times in both the 50 and 100 free."

Lansing scored 86 - 76 in the meet against Odessa Montour, scoring first in nine of twelve events.  Alex Conte, Lexi Payton, Kali Dean and Kelsy Quigley won the Girls 200 Yard Medley in 2:10:00.  Courtney Pollack finished first in the 200 Yard Freestyle, Kali Dean sped to first place in Girls 200 Yard IM, and Katrina Mehringer took first in the 50 Yard Freestyle.

Victoria Palagario-Katz took the top score in 1 mtr Diving.  Alex Conte finished first in the  100 Yard Butterfly in 1:09.51.  Lexi Payton was first in the 100 Yard Freestyle, Erin Trowbridge scored first in the 500 Yard Freestyle, and Valerie Massi, Alex Conte, Courtney Pollack and Ashley McDonald came in first 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:53.14.

In the Dryden meet Lansing took first place in ten of twelve events, scoring 121 - 62.  Firsts for Lansing included Kali Dean, Alex Conte, Courtney Pollack and Anna Mapes in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Alex Conte in the 200 Yard IM, Kali Dean in the 50 Yard Freestyle, Lindsey Petry taking the top score in 1 mtr Diving, Courtney Pollack in the 100 Yard Butterfly, Ashley McDonald in the 100 Yard Freestyle, and Kali Dean in the 500 Yard Freestyle.

Lansing scored more firsts when Alex Conte, Katrina Mehringer, Anna Mapes and Ashley McDonald won the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, Kelsy Quigley in the 100 Yard Backstroke, and Ashley McDonald, Kali Dean, Courtney Pollack and Kelsy Quigley in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
