ImageThe Lansing Girls Basketball team raised their record to 15-0 with a 53-31 victory over Dryden Saturday night, following the Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony.  Jocelyn Ford led the way with 21 points, while Ellyn Grant Keane added 9 points. In addition both Ford and Grant-Keane shared team high honors with 4 assists each.  Beth Lader and MC Barrett chipped in with 8 points each.

Rachael Palladino had a team high 8 steals to go with her 4 points, while Nina Lindberg hit a three point basket to round out the scoring for the Ladycats. Offensively the team did a great job of passing the ball, continually making the extra pass leading to 18 assists on their 23 baskets. Defensively the Ladycats harassed Dryden players all evening forcing 39 Purple Lion turnovers.

The  team improved their record to 16-0 with a hard fought 55-42 come from behind victory at Elmira Notre Dame on Tuesday. The Ladycats trailed in this game until the fourth quarter, when the exploded for 22 points while holding the Lady Crusaders to just 8 points.

Jocelyn Ford led a balanced scoring attack with 18 points, including a perfect 6 for 6 from the foul line in the crucial 4th quarter.  MC Barrett chipped in with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals, while Beth Lader added 11 points with several key 3 point baskets down the stretch.  Megan Palladino returned to action adding 6 points and a team high 9 rebounds, and the team received great contributions off the bench from Ellyn Grant-Keane, Stephanie Gonyea and Colby McCartney.

The Ladycats have their final home regular season game this Friday hosting Division I rival Waverly. On this night they will honor their 3 senior captains, Beth Lader, Megan Palladino and Rachael Palladino.
