unitedwayUnited Way of Tompkins County announced that Alison H. Twang and Toni Sacco have been hired as relationship managers.  Alison and Toni join Tom Connors, who was recently promoted, and complete the newly formed cross-functional relationship team.

Toni and Tom will focus primarily on resource development.  Alison’s core responsibilities will be in the areas of community investment and programs.  Each manager will work across functional lines.  James Brown, UWTC President noted, “When Ann Colt and Samantha Smith ended their employment in July, UWTC lost two key contributors.  Alison and Toni bring skill sets and experiences that will ensure operational effectiveness is maintained and over time organizational capacity will be expanded.”

Alison H. Twang recently earned her Master of Public Administration degree from Binghamton University with a focus on Nonprofit Management. Alison’s prior work includes directing the 2013 Annual United Way of New York State Community Impact Assessment, serving as a Community Engagement Data Analyst in the Center for Civic Engagement at Binghamton University and developing performance measurement plans and data analysis processes with Broome and Chenango United Ways.

Toni Sacco earned her BA from Case Western Reserve University and has extensive experience in collaborative program management, volunteer engagement, donor stewardship and marketing. Before joining UWTC, Toni served as the Tompkins County Branch Manager for The Southern Tier Chapter of the American Red Cross. During her work with InterAct Cleveland Toni organized and executed the annual Homeless Stand Down; a three-day event with over 150 groups supporting families experiencing homelessness. Toni is experienced in Asset Based Community Development.

Meg Cole, UWTC Chief Operating Officer noted, “the talents of Alison and Toni along with our organizational realignment will help meet the challenges ahead and capitalize on opportunities to strengthen our community and United Way.”
