The Rotary Club of Ithaca introduced three individuals who have recently joined the service club. These community members bring professional experience from the business and not-for-profit sectors and volunteer in Tompkins County. Ithaca Rotary's motto is "Service Above Self." Membership is open to all who share in this belief; new members are accepted year-round.
 
"The Ithaca Rotary Club is delighted to welcome these individuals," said Rotary Membership Chair Ron Provus. "Our members come from all walks of life and have a wide variety of interests to match those of Rotary. As members of Ithaca Rotary, individuals give of their time and skills to positively impact the needs of our community."
 

Sarah Robarge is the owner/operator of Robarge Certified Rolfers. She was raised in Unadilla Forks, a tiny town near Cooperstown, NY. Sarah graduated high school at age 16 and attended SUNY Morrisville as a Dean's Scholar, earning a degree in agricultural science. She then moved to Ithaca to attend Cornell and majored in Animal Science. She also holds degrees in massage therapy, Rolfing Structural Integration and Rolf Movement. She has lived, studied, and worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Bali, Indonesia.

Stacy Tanner was born and raised in Bar Harbor, Maine and graduated from University of Maine at Orono. She moved to Syracuse in 1993 and began her career in modular construction thru GE Capital. She now works with Woodcock & Armani Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Construction & Services in Tompkins County. Stacy and her husband Tommy own the popular pub Woody's Jerkwater in North Syracuse and are owners of the professional indoor soccer team the Syracuse Silver Knights.
 
Jabez 'Bez' Thomas works in academic IT for the Department of Astronomy at Cornell. He grew up in New South Wales, Australia. He studied at the University of Sydney, where he earned two degrees: computer science and math, and philosophy and medieval studies. He and his partner, Shoshe, moved to Ithaca in 2007 when Shoshe began her studies in the astronomy department specializing in Mars. Bez previously worked as an IT specialist/instructor at the Ithaca Women's Opportunity Center. He serves on the board of Ithaca Generator, a non-profit community workshop.
