Girl Scout Troop 56  skated at The Rink in Lansing on Thursday, March 9th after school in place of their regular meeting.

Troop 56 was ranked #1 in cookie sales for the entire Seven Lakes region and had some surplus monies that they needed to spend. The girls had attended an Ithaca/Lansing area skating night at Cass Park in January 2006 and enjoyed it so much that they asked to skate again.

The girls walked in and were warmly greeted by the staff and management. The Rink provided a table full of bottled water and lemonade and a big bowl of candy! The staff at The Rink was very welcoming.

The troop skated for about one hour. After skating, the staff at The Rink provided cheese pizza for the troop. The girls did some community service planning to plant a tree at Myers Park in Lansing in May.

The troop had such a good time that they are hoping to have a Lansing area fall kick off at The Rink.
