The community is invited to a special worship service celebrating the completion of construction of a new children's education wing at Lansing United Methodist Church, 32 Brickyard Rd., Lansing NY 14882 on Thursday, April 19th at 7:00pm. Construction began nearly a year ago at a groundbreaking service on May 7, 2017.
At the Thursday evening service on April 19, Bishop Mark Webb, Episcopal leader for the Upper NY Conference of the United Methodist Church will preach and preside at Holy Communion. In the United Methodist tradition, all who desire to live in right relationship with God and one another are welcome to receive Holy Communion, church membership is not required.
Some of our children will bake the communion bread, and musical gifts will be offered by the children and the Adult Choir, and the Bells Angels Bell Choir. Several former pastors, and a famous camel named Leopold, will participate in the service. A cake and cookie reception will follow.
