Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Service (INHS) is launching its COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program to provide rent relief for approximately 250 households across four counties, including Seneca, Schuyler, Tioga, and Tompkins, this month. The program is designed to provide relief up to three months to eligible households who have experienced a loss of income related to the public health crisis. TCAction will soon introduce additional help with a Rental and Utility Assistance Program in July/August 2020 for households whose incomes are at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines; for instance, a household of four in Tompkins County could make up to, but not exceed $51,500.00 to be eligible for rental and utility assistance.
