A steady stream of hungry people lined up for spaghetti and meatballs in Lansing High School cafeteria for the PTSO's annual spaghetti dinner Friday.  With the meals served by the PTSO and desserts by L-TAPA, the tables filled as people ate in and took meals to go.  "I think we did very well," said PTSO's Dorothy Debbie, who ran the event.  "We served 186 meals."

Debbie estimated that the group raised about $600, saying the final figure won't be known until the bills are all paid.  "I know we did better than we did last year, because we ran out of noodles," says PTSO President Kay Thomas.  "  So we knew we had more people than we expected, which was a good thing!"

Ann Miller donated the sauce and spaghetti from the King Ferry Hotel, and made the meatballs.  Bread was donated by the Ithaca Bakery, and Wegmans gave the PTSO a gift certificate to buy additional supplies.  Kristin Burt sold Bobcats sweatshirts to raise additional money.

"This isn't our biggest fund raiser," Debbie noted.  "The price of the dinners have been the same since 1994.  $5 for adults and $3.50 for kids and seniors."

The proceeds go to the PTSO's scholarship fund.  "We give scholarships to seniors every year," says Thomas.
