Alvin ParkerJames J Cahalan nominated his uncle Alvin Parker for March Star of the Month. "He has over the years given whole-heartedly to the Lansing community. He was one of the first ambulance members when it was located in Ludlowville, he is a member of the fire dept he has down a lot of work for the community."Alvin Parker is a homegrown Lansing Son . He's a gentle soul who's always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors family and Lansing township. The man is humble and does blush at praise, has a good since of humor and is great with kids. Alvin has been a member of the Lansing fire service more years than I can remember,he was one of the first volunteers for the Ludlowville Ambulance Squad before it moved to South Lansing.
"Alvin is a fire commissioner and is the board Secretary. He has held numerous position with in the fire department. He as of late retired from Bolton Point, but I know he's busy with events and projects in the community, so retirement doesn't mean he's been idle. I just want to finish by saying how proud I am of him . The community is blessed because Alvin cares."
