ImageToday, the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Tompkins County is announcing the resignation of Jennifer Yarbrough as Executive Director.  Her resignation will become effective at the end of February. Ms. Yarbrough cites personal reasons for her decision.

“Jennifer has been a positive influence at the Tompkins County Red Cross over the last fourteen months and we wish her well in her new business endeavors.  We believe she is leaving the chapter with a strong foundation for future growth,” said Linda Andrei, chair of the Tompkins County Red Cross Chapter Board.  “The highest priority of the American Red Cross is carrying out its mission to help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies and that will not change.  We expect the community will continue to support the very important mission of the Red Cross.”

She went on to say that during this leadership transition, the citizens of Tompkins County will continue to receive the vital life sustaining services the community has come to expect from the American Red Cross for more than 90 years. The Red Cross is dedicated to honoring its commitment to the community by always being there when our friends, families and neighbors need us.
