tolerance_120Social Studies Teacher Isis Ivery brought four members of the 2011 senior class to present a video on tolerance they completed as their final project in her class.  The video explores tolerance in Lansing High School, and proposes a campaign to make students and faculty more tolerant in the future.  While all four students graduated this year, they said that younger students are on board to make this proposed program work in the high school.  Ali Robinson, Kathryn Hornibrook, Joycelyn Ford, and Nina Lindberg asked school board members to sign a pledge to make the 'Civility Pursuit' reality in Lansing.

The video is called 'Five Simple Questions'.  It asks frank questions of students, faculty, and staff about the level of tolerance in the school, and then asks respondents whether they would join an initiative to bring more understanding and tolerance to the school.  After the video, school board members were asked to sign the pledge.
