The IthacaQuiz is an exciting new local trivia game played online at www.IthacaQuiz.com. Players sign-in with a nickname, and the game starts immediately with a rapid stream of multiple-choice and true/false questions on local topics. Answering 10 questions correctly allows you to enter your email address for a contest drawing. Contest prizes are awarded monthly and are supplied by local businesses.

The IthacaQuiz was created and built by AWP, a web and brand design company located on the Ithaca Commons. It is co-sponsored by Local First Ithaca, an organization focused on creating a strong and successful local economy for Ithaca. The History Center in Tompkins County contributes and fact-checks questions for the IthacaQuiz.

“We wanted to build something fun for our community as a way of saying thanks for 10 years of business,” said Christopher DelCollo, President of AWP. “We appreciate the work Local First Ithaca (LFI) is doing for our economy, and we felt they would be a great co-sponsor for the Quiz.” IthacaQuiz contest prizes are primarily supplied by businesses in the LFI network.

DelCollo explains, “The IthacaQuiz can be a super fun and educational way to kill time while riding the bus, waiting for a movie or play to start, while at your favorite bar or coffee shop. You don’t have to download or install an app, you can play right at ithacaquiz.com. The great thing is that you’ll learn something interesting about our community and have you’ll have fun doing it.”

The IthacaQuiz has over 150 questions and new trivia is being added weekly by the staff of AWP and The History Center. An online form allows anyone to contribute trivia that they think should be included in the Quiz.
