"We unlocked the door at 7:30," says Park Superintendent Steve Colt. "By ten o'clock in the morning we had collected $24,975. That's about $2,000 over where we were a year ago. We got off to a really good start."
For the lucky few who can get reservations, camping in the park is only $25 per night.
As of Wednesday 36 pavilion reservations had been made.
Boat slip reservations are made by lottery every three years. While some renters drop out over that period the marina has a healthy waiting list, so Colt says he expects the marina to be at full capacity again this year. Renewals are due February 8th.
