Ottenweller recently retired from a senior position with Pathstone Corp., where she oversaw the development of affordable housing in New York and elsewhere and brings decades of experience in community development, housing and related opportunities to her new position.

“Better Housing is extremely fortunate to hire Susan as our new leader going forward,” says BHTC Board President, Ro Rukavena.  “Her experience at every level of affordable housing development, including more than 25 years in Upstate New York, will serve current and future clients exceptionally well.”

Better Housing for Tompkins County assists low-to-moderate income county residents living outside the City of Ithaca through a first-time homebuyer program and various home repair programs.  The agency also manages 121 affordable apartments throughout the county for seniors and the disabled.
