The Cayuga Radio Group has closed on the purchase of radio stations Z 95.5 (WFIZ-FM) along with Classic Hits 107.7FM.

“These are outstanding radio stations that are very well respected in Ithaca and the surrounding region.  They have, and continue to represent our airwaves well, and are enjoyed by thousands of listeners each and every day,” said Chet Osadchey, VP/GM of the Cayuga Radio Group.  “We are excited to have the morning team of “Gabe & Harper” and night time superstar “Bentley” joining our line-up of Cayuga Radio on-air personalities.

“Z95.5 is the premier Top 40 station in the region, and our ability to reach into the surrounding communities as well as area colleges and high schools makes it tremendously popular.” said Brand Manager Gabe Carrillo.

Osadchey added that the group has plans to transition the other CHR/Top 40 station Hits 103.3 to another station in the radio group to enhance its existing signal, leaving Z95.5 as the sole Top 40 station in the market.  “I also very much look forward to working closely with Gabe and Chris Allinger (Cayuga Radio Group Operations Manager) to continue to grow the Classic Hits 107.7 brand in Ithaca.  It is a tremendous signal with great music that is unique to the radio dial.”
