Tompkins Trust Company has promoted Michael Buza to Assistant Vice President, Credit Analysis Manager and Alex Remizowski to Small Business Banking Associate. Mary Robillard has been promoted to Vice President, Branch Manager and Rachel Clarkson to Officer, Corporate Compliance Specialist. And Nancy Bussieres has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Employee Relations Manager. She will continue to report to Scott Pronti, Vice President, Human Resources.
Buza started with the company in 2019. He was previously with M&T Bank. His responsibilities include management of the credit department, underwriting commercial loans, commercial appraisals, and maintaining credit policy standards for the Commercial Department. Buza holds both his MA and BA in Economics from SUNY Buffalo. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, is an active Eagle Scout, and organizes and volunteers for various scout events. He has volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and the Food Bank of CNY. He will continue reporting to Thomas Evans.
Remizowski started with the company in 2013, as a Staff Accountant before becoming Credit Analyst. He has 7 years of experience in finance and banking. In his role as Small Business Banking Associate he will assist with credit analysis and loan origination for small business customers. He will also collaborate with and provide support to the small business and retail branch manager teams. Remizowski earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management, and Legal Studies Minor from Ithaca College. He is a graduate of the Leadership Tompkins program (2018/19) and serves as Treasurer for the Alcohol & Drug Council of Tompkins County, and as a board member for the Trumansburg Golf Club. He will report to Justin Earl.
Robillard started with the company in 2015. She has 40 years of experience in finance and banking. As Branch Manager for the Cortland Branch, she works with customers in all aspects of retail and commercial banking, while also serving a dedicated Cortland community. Robillard earned her General Diploma from the American Institute of Banking and Consumer & Commercial Lending Diploma from NY Bankers Association. She enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She is a board member for the Cortland Convention and Visitor's Bureau and an Advisory Board Member for the Area Agency on Aging. She will continue reporting to Helen Talty.
Clarkson started with the company in 2000 and made a return in 2014. She has 20 years of experience in finance and banking. As an Officer in the Corporate Compliance department, she enforces regulatory compliance at Tompkins Financial. Clarkson earned her BA from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. She enjoys spending time with her husband. She serves as Treasurer for Foodnet Meals on Wheels and volunteers with both Rocky Steady Boxing and Laundry Love. She will continue reporting to Terri Brace.
Bussieres was previously with Cayuga Medical Center and has nine years of experience in Human Resources. In her role she will be responsible for fostering an environment that enhances the team member experience throughout the life-cycle of one's career at Tompkins. She will identify and execute programs that enrich the culture, promote inclusion, and foster team member engagement.

Bussieres is active in her community and serves as a board member with the Alcohol & Drug Council, and is a board member with SHRMTC (Society for Human Resource Management of Tompkins County). She is also a member of SHRM nationally. She holds her Master Degree in Psychology and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
