Performance Systems is expanding locally and nationally. New jobs continue to be created in Ithaca, as rising energy costs have led to a renewed focus on energy efficiency across the country. The head-count at Performance Systems has recently topped 55 employees.
In New York state, the need for energy efficiency in multi-family buildings has prompted a major reorganization in Performance Systems Contracting. Alwyn John has moved over to head the multi-family division, while Cliff Babson will be taking over at the helm of the residential services division.

Nationally, Performance Systems Development is at the very center of the industry, with energy efficiency programs currently running in seven different states, and a suite of software products that are being used all around the country.
President Greg Thomas and VP Conrad Metcalfe were recently invited to participate in the Department of Energy's "Green Jobs Summit" to address the growing need for high-tech "Green Collar" workers. In response, Performance Systems Academy has been launched to build infrastructure for this rapidly growing industry, and plans include a wide range of courses offered locally and nationally.
Currently, Performance Systems has job openings for energy auditors, programmers and engineers.
