ImageFrom tourism to technology and everything in between, the diverse nature of the many types of businesses in Tompkins County will be on display at Showcase Tompkins, which will take place Wednesday, June 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ithaca Farmers Market.

Sponsored by Black Box Computer Consulting, Showcase Tompkins offers Chamber members a unique opportunity to display their products and services in the familiar atmosphere of the Ithaca Farmers Market, a venue that encourages openness and comfortable conversation.

"Showcase Tompkins is a fantastic opportunity to learn about what happens in Tompkins County” said John Guttridge, President of Black Box Computer Consulting. “I am always impressed at the breadth of businesses that participate and the strength of our Chamber which has kept our economy strong even in this difficult climate. It is an honor to be this year's sponsor."

This year, The Chamber has sold nearly every booth in the market, ensuring that over 85 businesses will be on hand to highlight their products and services. Well over 600 attendees are expected.

Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce Director of Membership and Public Relations Rob LaHood says, “Showcase Tompkins offers a unique opportunity for both the business community and the general public. For businesses, it puts them in front of several hundred potential customers and creates networking opportunities with other businesses; for the public, it’s a great way to find out about the diversity of businesses and industries that help keep our local economy thriving. We especially want to encourage local businesses to have their employees attend, because of the opportunities to network and find out about other local enterprises their companies might be able to work with.”
