Richard Cowan, Property Manager for Better Housing, explained that the goal of the project was to enhance building systems, performance and amenities, while maintaining its affordability. “These improvements will ensure that Fountain Manor is an affordable housing option for the elderly for years to come.” said Cowan.
As a New York State certified Rural Preservation Company (RPC) serving rural Tompkins County, Better Housing manages Fountain Manor as part of a portfolio of 121 apartments throughout Tomkins County that provide affordable housing for independent seniors age 62 or over and the disabled at any age.
