star_120Horseheads, NY -- Hunt Engineers, Architects & Land Surveyors, P.C. (HUNT), is pleased to announce that Landscape Designer Timothy Insinger has earned his certification in Wetland Delineation.

All developers whose projects include wetlands are required to know the precise boundaries of wetlands as specified in state and federal rules. A wetland professional is generally required to make the boundary determination and their findings are subject to review by regulatory agencies.

Wetland delineations include field indicators of hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soils, and wetland hydrology, as well as making jurisdictional determinations. Instruction in wetland delineation is taught, and credentials are awarded, under the auspices of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In order to earn this certificate, Tim completed a comprehensive class and successfully completed the final test.

Tim joined HUNT in 2006 as a site designer. He is a graduate of SUNY at Syracuse, College of Environmental Science, and Forestry with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree. He also holds an Associate of Science in Horticulture from SUNY at Morrisville, College of Agricultural Sciences. Tim’s knowledge of plant species, construction materials, and installation methods make him as a key member of many HUNT project teams.

HUNT is a 110-person professional consulting firm with offices in Horseheads, Rochester, and Lancaster, Pa., offering comprehensive engineering, architecture, and surveying services to municipal, commercial, and educational clients. More information is available at Hunt-eas.com.
