Evan D. Williams, the principal of Evan D. Williams Fine Art Appraiser & Consultant, LLC, has been granted membership to the Appraisers Association of America, the premier national organization of personal property appraisers who specialize in fine and decorative arts. The AAA’s rigorous three-year-long admissions process and continuing education requirements ensure that its members adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Qualified to evaluate a wide range of two-dimensional art including paintings, prints, and drawings, Williams is currently Tompkins County’s only member of AAA or any other major art appraisal organization. In addition to appraisals for insurance, estate, and charitable contribution purposes, he also provides brokering, cataloging, and research services to individuals and institutions throughout the region.
Williams has been in business since 2008, when he earned a Professional Certificate in Appraisal Studies from NYU. He also holds an MA in Art History from NYU and a BA in Art History and Economics from Ithaca College.
