Williamsville, NY – Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in upstate New York, northern Pennsylvania and western Vermont recently honored 206 longtime associates for their years of service to the grocer.  Each of the 206 associates has served for 25, 30, 35 or 40 years to the company, and have a combined 6,246 years of service.

The associates honored from the 710 South Meadow Street location in Ithaca were:

• Jackie Harris, Bakery Manager – 30 years of service
• Scott Klipple, Assistant Grocery Manager – 30 years of service
• Bertha Meeks, Carry Out Cafe Clerk - 30 years of service
• Anina Rehkugler, General Merchandise Manager – 30 years of service

Also honored for 35 years of service was Charlene Craven, Tops’ Ithaca/Elmira area district manager.

“We are proud to celebrate our dedicated associates that have made Tops Markets a lifelong career,” said Jack Barrett, Tops’ senior vice president of human resources.  “Over the past 50 years, we’ve had the pleasure of hiring the best associates that have made our company what it is today, a neighborhood store committed to the communities we serve.”

Annually, Tops honors associates who have reached 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service with the company.  The 2012 awards were presented at Casa Larga in Rochester, NY and Salvatore’s Italian Gardens in Depew, NY.
