i100Cayuga Radio Group Classic Rock I-100 (WIII) is announcing a ban on "cold" on the weekday "Classic Mornings" show until further notice. Morning personality Kat Walters has decided to bar some popular songs as a result.

Some songs that will be omitted from the morning show include such classics as "She's So Cold" by The Rolling Stones, "Cold As Ice" by Foreigner, and "Cold Shot" by Stevie Ray Vaughan. "I am even considering removing Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song' from the morning rotation because it opens with the line 'come from the land of the ice and snow' – that is how serious I am about this", Walters declared.

As for what inspired this move Walters added "I was scraping my car window off and the scraper just snapped in half.  I said 'enough is enough'!" She notes, "We are all sick of the cold weather, and so I will not be playing any songs that make reference to cold on my show. We need a break, and I am prepared to provide one, even if only metaphorically."

Beginning Tuesday, "Classic Mornings" began omitting the "cold" songs from the show for the foreseeable future. Listeners are encouraged to call the studio  to vent their frustrations, request songs of warmth, and "tell winter where to go".

Walters' show airs at 99.9FM and 100.3FM Mondays-Fridays 6am-10am.
