On March 25, 2014 much of the music world was shocked when One Direction's Zayn Malik released a statement via the band's Facebook page that he was officially leaving the group. While this sent waves across the web, it has created a fantastic opportunity for Z95.5.

Carrillo's offer on Z95.5 would pay Zayn not in money, but in hefty supplies of our incredible Finger Lakes wines. The decision was based on the outstanding quality of the wines our wineries produce year after year.

"Zaryn probably has enough money.  So we think we can woo him with a crazy amount of Finger Lakes Wine.  Reislings, Cab Franc…I have commitments enough to satify Zaryn for a year.  He should think of  it as a chance to do something new and unique in a place that he will fall in love with. What could better for a singing and songwriting talent than to be inspired by the majestic views of Cayuga Lake day after day?"

Carrillo said the offer to Zayn Malik would only be good until 11:59 pm on Friday March 27, 2015.  "I want him to think about it…but it's an easy answer."
