WGI's annual craft brew event will feature five hours of sampling the region's finest beer, live music (Iron Horse Bluegrass, The Zydeco Trail Riders), delicious regional cuisine, a 32-team cornhole tournament, on-site camping and pace car rides. Advance tickets are on sale now at discounted prices until September 27th.
The Finger Lakes Beer Trail, returning presenting sponsor of the event, was founded by Adam Smith and Theresa Hollister in 2011, to promote the craft brewing industry and showcase the region's craft brewers. Smith and Hollister are dedicated to increasing the visibility of New York state's brewing industry and are furthering that objective through a continued partnership with WGI.
"The Finger Lakes Beer Festival has grown at Watkins Glen International over the past few years, and there's no better way to showcase the fine craft brews that our state has to offer," said Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup. "Fall is a great time of year in the Finger Lakes and we're thrilled to be able to put on events like this one."
With over 100 craft beers from more than 35 New York craft breweries, the Finger Lakes Beer Festival is quickly being recognized as the area's premier beer tasting event. Regional ciders will also be featured during the 2015 edition of the event. Guests must be 21 years of age to attend.
