reggiecarpenter120East Shore Arts Council continues their Concerts in the Courtroom series with award winning storyteller, Regi Carpenter in This Little Light of Mine…holiday stories from around the world, this Sunday, December 6 at 3pm at the Lansing Town Hall, 29 Auburn Road.

The East Shore Arts Council (ESAC) is a fairly new, non-profit organization working to ensure that the greater Lansing area has a vibrant, vital arts environment and access to affordable arts programming.

Karen Veaner, president of the council says, "The council is delighted to bring to Lansing a performance artist of Carpenter's caliber.  What could be better than an afternoon of beautiful songs and stories?  Stories can connect us with our past, our future and with each other."

Regi Carpenter is a storyteller and author that has toured nationally and internationally.  She is the recipient of multiple awards including the Parent's Choice Gold Award, the Parents' Guide to Children's Media Award and the Storytelling World Award. Her performance piece Snap! won the 2012 Boston StorySlam.

Booklist Review calls Regi's tales "an unexpected gift that promises to leave us longing for more empathic vignettes from this comfortable, compelling voice."

This Little Light of Mine is a fun, rollicking, participatory family show celebrating holiday traditions from around the world with stories, songs, and audience participation that will leave you smiling!
