Ithaca Rotary Club grants promote the quality of life in Tompkins County and the greater Ithaca area. In 2015, Rotary grants were presented to the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, Catholic Charities of Tompkins & Tioga, Dryden Town Historical Society, Foodnet Meals on Wheels, Ithaca Generator, Northside United, Southside Community Center, Tompkins Learning Partners, and the Ulysses Philomathic Library. The Savage Club makes annual donations to community arts organizations that include the Community School of Music and Arts, Vitamin L Chorus, Running to Places Theatre Company and Armstrong School of Dance. The Ithaca City School District Fine Arts Department is comprised of programs in Art, Music, Theatre and Dance. It embraces the ideals that all students are welcome and can play an important role in the success of Ithaca Fine and Performing Arts.
