The first downtown Ithaca Gallery Night of 2008 will be held on Friday, March 7th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with 10 downtown galleries showcasing the talents of local, national, and international artists. Among the displays and exhibits will be a grand opening for the Ink Shop Artists who were displaced by fire and have relocated to the CSMA building at 330 E. State St., and the popular 19th Annual Juried Photography show at the State of the Art Gallery.

Belle Melange, 210 West State Street 
Sizzling interpretations of Heat
Works by Mary Shelly, Durand Van Doren, Carlton Manzano, Michael Sampson, Ben Marlan and Mary Reynolds.

Community School of Music and Arts, 330 East State Street
George Rhoads Solo Gallery Exhibit. Known world-wide for his kinetic sculptures, George Rhoads is also a phenomenal painter and presents his most recent works in a rare solo exhibit.

Clinton House Art Space, 116 North Cayuga Street
Kitchen Theater Auction Show. An auction of selected artworks donated by numerous artists, to benefit the theater

Ink Shop Gallery, 2nd floor of 330 East State Street
A grand opening celebration and presentation of 'Fired Up' Prints by Ink Shop Artists
The Phoenix has risen from the ashes!! The Ink Shop is opening its new studio and gallery at 330 E. State Street in the CSMA building, on the second floor. They are exhibiting prints by Ink Shop artists. You will have another chance to look and purchase discounted prints saved from the fire.

Patrick O'Connor Gallery, 114 South Cayuga Street  - The Works of Patrick J. O'Connor. Mr. O'Connor will exhibit some of his favorite local landscape watercolors.

Shangri-La, 156 The Commons  Visions of South Asia.
Shangri-la's March show features the batik art of a Southeast Asian artist named Jaka Wuryanto. Jaka infuses his works with vibrant color to reveal sensuously touching scenes of traditional southeast Asian life.

State of the Art Gallery, 120 West State Street
The 19th Annual Juried Photography Show. One of the largest and best-attended exhibits in Central New York. Traditional, digital and experimental photography will be on display and a reception is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., when cash prizes will be awarded.

Sola Gallery, 1st floor, Dewitt Mall, 215 North Cayuga Street
Jo Barry, Etchings from England.  A celebration of the seasons featuring bluebells, poppies, heavy snows and more, all in superb color etchings.

Three Views of Nature, its contrasts and its harmony. Selected oil paintings and watercolors of the ocean, still life, and distant lands from local artists Dora Flash Bourne, Patty Porter and Yvonne Piburn.
