BACK TOGETHER AGAIN:  This time of year, some are starting to think about reunions.  Dr. Verbos Metikulos and I will leave the Institute for the Linguistically Impaired for two weeks in August and look forward to returning to Europe for our twentieth high school reunions, his in Greece and mine in Spain.  However, we plan to get back together or get together again with our classmates.

Getting back together again is like repeating again.  But then, reunions are rife with redundancies.  Attendees don't remember, they still remember or remember back.  They even look back in retrospect.  Can you imagine?  What a strange language is English, so full of traps for the unwary.

You Americans had a comedian named Stephen Wright - is he still working? - who said, "Ah, when I think about the past, it brings back so many memories."  I wonder how many had no idea they were being mocked.
