ImageThe imaginative and magically fun tale of Snow White comes to the Hangar stage June 25 though 27 and July 2 through 4, the second production in the Hangar’s summer Kiddstuff Season.  Audiences of all ages will fall in love with Marjorie Sokoloff’s fresh adaptation of the classic children’s story.

What if you found out that everything you’d heard about Snow White had been a lie? Get the truth—from the witch’s perspective—about what really happened! Join Snow White, the seven dwarves, a tongue-tied prince, a sassy mirror, and a dancing chicken in this in a tale about beauty, friendship, and happily-ever-afters with a twist.

Audiences member who come early to the 12 p.m. noon performance on Saturday 27 will experience a Community Read-A-Long of the book under the Hangar tent with the Family Reading Partnership. Bring a lunch to eat and when we’re finished we’ll head inside and watch the characters come to life on stage!

Brandon Pape, a Drama League Director from the Summer Directing Project will direct this Kiddstuff production. “This play is so fun and vibrant. The characters are certainly ones you'll recognize, but we've given our production a unique spin that I think will surprise and excite audiences," said Pape.

The Hangar Theatre has produced two other plays by Sokoloff as School-Tours, Hansel and Gretel and Jack and the Beanstalk.  Snow White is made possible by the sponsorship of Family Medicine Associates of Ithaca.
