Sixteen concerts are planned for this year’s series, which kicks off tonight with a performance by the Ithaca Concert Band at the Bernie Milton Pavilion on the Ithaca Commons. All of the concerts are free and open to the public and will take place on Thursday nights at either the Bernie Milton Pavilion or Aurora Street Pavilion, except as noted below. Each concert begins at 6:00 p.m., except for the performances by the Ithaca Concert Band, which will begin at 7:00 p.m in Bank Alley, and Dan Pellitier, whose concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
The M and T Bank Downtown Ithaca Summer Concert Series has grown in popularity over the years and has become one of the premiere summer concert events in the Finger Lakes region, attracting thousands of people to downtown and the Ithaca Commons.

The DIA is currently finalizing the plans and dates for at least two more concerts and will announce the details of them in the near future. They encourage residents and visitors to arrive early or stay late every Thursday, and take advantage of downtown Ithaca’s many restaurants, bistros, galleries and gift shops, which stay open late on Thursday nights and will be open before and after each concert.
Downtown Ithaca’s new Thursday Farmer’s Market will be held every Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dewitt Park. The History Center in Tompkins County will host Living History Tour “Ghost Walks” in July and August, every Thursday night, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Each tour lasts 45 minutes.
