Inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus, the story unfolds in a magical land where people have wings. A young boy named Lyf finds himself grounded ─ living an earthbound existence sheltered by his cautious parents. With the help of friends, Lyf must learn to grow up and spread his wings, knowing that he will always have a safe place to land. Winner of a Kennedy Center Award, this captivating tale sheds a light on bullying and how love and kindness can prevail.
The summer KIDDSTUFF season continues with sparkling performances the jazzy toe-tapping musical A Year with Frog and Toad July 18-20, the beloved children's favorite James and the Giant Peach August 1-3, and The Wiz, a super soul musical version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz August 15-17. Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 10am and 12pm. Most KIDDSTUFF performances are recommended for children aged 4 and up. James and the Giant Peach is recommended for children aged 7 and up.
